There are 227 pupils at Hill Mead Primary. Mr West decides that all the pupils and the 23 adults who work at the school should go on a trip to the seaside.
1. How many 32-seat coaches does the school need to hire?
2. What will the total cost of the coaches be?
3. How much do you think each pupil should be charged for the trip? Give reasons for your answer.

1.227 divided by 32= 7 So you'll need to order 7 coaches to come.
ReplyDelete2.7
3.I think £5.25p
227 Divide by 32 = (7.09375 ) Key features: 227,32, Each Pupil. I don't know if I have the right answear,But always check your work before finishing
ReplyDelete1. 7.09375 ROUNDED 8
ReplyDelete2. $960
3. Each child would approximately pay 4 pounds each because 1 coach cost 120 pounds and they need 8 coaches so 8 coaches would coast 960 ponds

Read the question carefully Godswill. All the children and adults are to go on the trip.
ReplyDelete227+23=250 250 divided by 32=7.8125 because all the pupils and teachers are going to the seaside you have to hire another coach . The total amount of coaches that Mr west needs to hire is 8.
ReplyDelete227/32=
ReplyDeleteIf I know 32x7=224 then takeaway 227 by 224 which gives me 3
23+3=26
In total I would need 8 coaches
I think each children should pay £5 because 5x227=1135 and that might be enough to pay the coaches
